Northwood Knights Win Against St. Gregory’s University

Northwood’s men’s basketball team kicked off its inaugural season with skilled players, dedicated coaches, a supportive student body, and a challenging schedule.  All that was missing was its first win.

St. Gregory’s was never able to solve Northwood’s 3-2 matchup zone defense, shooting under 40% from the floor.  The visitors also missed 18 free throws.

Jabbar Reid led the Knights with 30 points.  The 6’6” guard made 13 of 22 shots from the field.

“The kids have been working hard and learning to play together,” Northwood head coach Ray Wilkerson said.  “A lot of things are finally starting to click, and we’re really looking forward to the last half of the season.”
