Senior Brandon Johnson fired a three over par 75 on day one of the NCAA Super Regional Championship at Jefferson City Country Club in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Johnson is currently in 28th place, just seven shots back of the first place position, however.  “The putts just weren’t falling today,” stated Head Golf Coach Kenny Trapp. “I was proud though of the way that Brandon competed out there on the golf course and we’re both looking forward to tomorrow’s round.”

Johnson, a senior from Vernon, Texas, qualified as an individual for the Patriot Golf Team and is playing in his second Super Regional Championsip – first time as an individual.

Johnson will tee off tomorrow morning for round two of the NCAA Super Regional Championship.  Follow Johnson for live hole-by-hole scoring of round two.
