cloudJohn Herman Cloud was born May 14, 1925. He joined the celebration with our Lord on October 19, 2016 at the age of 91 years old.

He was born in Oakdale Louisiana and resided in Dallas Texas since 1946. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas where he Served as a Deacon Emeritus.

He was preceded in death by his Bride of 61 years Dorothy Cassell Cloud, daughter Marsha Cloud, mother Martha Willis Cloud of Oakdale, brothers Hubert, Walter and Vernon Cloud, sisters Evelyn Miller, Glynn Perkins, Joy Leonard.

He is survived by daughter Marcile ‘Marty’ L Hale, Marvin C.and Lisa Cloud, Grandchildren: Marcus Ambrester, Kimberly Ann Young, Travis and Kristin Hale, Lindsey (Cloud) and Scott McFarlane. Great Grandchildren: Kyle and Kayla Young, Tristan and Jordan Ambrester. Brother Roy Cloud, Carrie Porteau, Martha Wells, Inlaws Bill and Anita Bledsoe, and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He proudly served in the United States Armed Air Force station at F E Warren Air Force Base in
Cheyenne, WY, Europe and Egypt during 1942-1946. After his retirement from SaladMaster Corp. he was the owner and operator of Over and Over Video Duplications.

John lived his life with integrity and kindness toward others. He was obedient in his service in
ministering to family, friends, fellow church members, neighbors and all those whom God put in his life’s path.

His prayer life and sharing God’s Holy Word were a part of his daily routine. He was a brightness that would greet you with a smile and a hug if you needed one. John was dearly loved for his benevolence and willingness to help others in need.

Roman 5: 1.Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2. through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

jaynesThe family will receive friends and family from 6-8 pm Friday October 21, 2016 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.

Memorial Services will be 1 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W. Pleasant Run Road, Cedar Hill, Texas 75014.

.Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232
