robertsonDeceased November 23, 2015, at the age of 93 in his home in Duncanville, Texas. Service will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2pm on Tuesday December 1.

Our world as we knew it ended with the loss of our loved one. It is with sadness we announce his passing.

Graduate of Sunset High School 1939, attended North Texas Agricultural College (now UT-Arlington) before joining US Navy for four years, including two years as Aviation Machinist’s Mate First Class of a flight crew on a PBY at Port Lyautey, French Morocco. Employed with Mobil Oil Co. (formerly Magnolia Petroleum Co.) for 34 years. Met and married Rozell “Rosie” Bowman in 1948. He was supportive of his sons’ activities in Duncanville. He was a Boy Scout leader, and he and Ross were inducted into Order of the Arrow.

“He alone is worthy to wear the arrow who will continue faithfully to serve his fellow men.” The family enjoyed travel and camping together.

Upon retirement, he and Rosie and their beloved dog Cajun drove to Alaska. Left to mourn him:

  • Wife of 67 years, Rosie
  • Sons Rex and wife Katherine; Ross and partner Catherine
  • Gran’sons Ehren and partner Cristina; Calen and wife Taylor; Raanan; and their mother Heidi
  • Nephew Bill Robertson and partner Mary Jane
  • Sister Wilma Jean Allen; nephews Claude Jr.; Lee and family; Matthew and family
  • Niece Patti Powers and husband Walt
  • Dear friends Tim Lee and wife Debbie
