langJohn Dennis Lang of Duncanville, beloved husband, father, Papa & friend passed away from this earth, meeting Jesus face to face on Dec. 8, 2015.

John was born Nov. 8, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of John Delbert Lang & Doris Catherine (Marks) Lang.

A graduate of Poly High School in Fort Worth, he went on to graduate in 1960 from Texas A&M with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He began his engineering career that same year with Texas Electric Service Co. and retired from TU in 1993. A lifelong Methodist, John served on many committees and was active in Sunday school. In recent years he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at First United Methodist Duncanville.

He leaves many friends from his rich life in church & Sunday school, and though he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, he will never be gone from our lives and hearts. A family leader, John leaves a faithful legacy that will be carried on by his loving & devoted family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Francis (Hart) Lang; sons, Neal Lang & wife, Tammy and Drew Lang & wife, Helen Blackburn; daughter, Allison Evans & husband, Jonathan; goddaughter, Kate Gibbons & family; grandson, Christopher Lang; granddaughters, Bethany Mailey & husband, Zachary, Alyssa Lang & Anabelle Evans; sister, Janie King & husband, Gary; 3 nieces, Lori Dove, Christi Humphries, Lee Ann Chiles & their families; aunt & uncle, Don & Esther Martin along with numerous cousins & a host of family & friends.

jaynesFuneral Service is 10:00 AM, Thurs. Dec. 10, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main Street, Duncanville, TX 75116.

Burial follows at Fort Parker Memorial Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wed. at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.
