Johansen, a junior, took a no-hit bid into the ninth inning against Mississippi Valley State on Friday and recorded an out before giving up an infield single to the Delta Devil leadoff hitter. Johansen recorded 10 strikeouts and did not allow an earned run in the outing, recording his first win of the season in an 8-1 Patriot victory.

McAlpine, a senior, hit .462 for the week with six RBI and six runs scored. In a win over Mississippi Valley State on Monday, McAlpine hit for the cycle as he tripled, doubled, singled, and then homered in the seventh to cap off the feat. He also recorded an astounding .923 slugging percentage for the week with 12 total bases in the four games.

DBU will continue their season and look for their fifth straight win as they host cross-town rival TCU on Tuesday at Horner Ballpark. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm with the Patriot Pregame Show beginning at 6:10 pm on www.dbupatriots.com/showcase.
