siresJames B. “Jim” Sires was born in Highland Park, Michigan, on September 21, 1951, the son of Mary Edith (Anderson) and Alton B. Sires. He went home to be with his Savior on July 11, 2015, at age 63.

Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jan Sires; his three children, Jessica Ball and her husband Michael Ball, Jodi Huizar and her husband Kevin Huizar, and Alton Sires. He was a loving “Pop- Pop” to four grandchildren, Aiden Huizar, Abigail Ball, Abel Huizar and Judah Ball. He will also be missed by a host of loving family members.

Jim was an avid golfer and loved golfing with his son and sons-in-law as well as many close friends and family. His favorite past time was riding his motorcycle. He went on many trips with friends and family. He always said riding his bike was his special time with the Lord. That’s when he would hear clearly what the Lord was saying to him. During some of those times, God would give him special prayers which he shared with others. Because of this intimate relationship with the Lord and all that the Lord had done for him, his greatest desire was to help others in the same way. He was very involved in missions both locally and internationally. Jim would never hesitate to give you the shirt off of his back, and any cash he had in his pocket, and did so almost daily.

Jim was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. He will be missed, but we have a sure and certain hope that we will see him again in Heaven.
