Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event Set For March 12

On March 12, 2016 Duncanville will hold it’s 6th Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event at the Duncanville High School softball field parking lot located on the west side of Greenstone, across from the softball fields. The event will be held from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

These events are open to all residents, and you must bring a driver’s license & utility bill to show proof of residency.

You may bring:

  • chemical products for home use
  • paint and home repair products
  • lawn and garden chemicals
  • aerosol sprays
  • pool chemicals
  • craft and hobby supplies
  • cleaners and polishes
  • batteries of all kinds
  • automotive fluids and oil filters
  • fluorescent light tubes
  • computers and electronics
  • cell phones

Don’t bring:

  • Business or commercial waste
  • containers larger than five gallons
  • explosives or ammunition
  • shock sensitive materials
  • smoke detectors
  • radioactive materials
  • medical waste
  • common trash or recyclables
  • construction debris televisions or appliances
