Golf World, WGCA Coaches’ Poll Reveals Lady Patriot Golf as 11th Ranked Team Nationally

Golf World announced this week after the conclusion of the Women’s Division II Coaches’ Poll that the DBU Lady Patriot Golf Teams stands as the 11th ranked women’s golf team in the country. The Lady Patriots have had quite the exceptional season thus far, compiling two victories, and four additional top-three team finishes.

The latest Golf World/WGCA Division II College Women’s Coaches’ Poll of the 2013 Spring Season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). Four victories in five starts was enough to convince voters to make Nova Southeastern the unanimous choice for No. 1 in the latest Golf World/WGCA women’s Division II coaches’ poll. The Sharks claimed all 17 first-place votes to hold on to the top spot in every poll since September 2011.

Jumping from No. 3 to No. 2 is St. Edward’s after the Hilltoppers won their home event, the St. Edward’s Invitational, for their sixth victory in seven starts.

Lynn climbed the No. 3 spot (up from No. 4) while Rollins slid down from No. 2 to No. 4. Rounding out the top five is Florida Southern

On new team joined the top 10: No. 9 Florida Tech. Two new schools joined the top 25: No. 24 Grand Valley State and No. 25 Lander.
