Future Educators Qualify for Nationals

Duncanville ISD – Five members of the Duncanville High School chapter of Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) are advancing to nationals after competing at the ‘TAFE Teach Tomorrow Summit’ last month in Huntsville:

  • David Budzinski
  • Dion Jamerson
  • Salma Perez
  • Aalyhia Shillow

The DHS team took the title for having the largest chapter from a single school in the region.

Multiple students received awards for their work which is intended to prepare them for a future career in education.

  • Jaida Brown – Blue Ribbon in Bulletin Board and Portfolio; Bronze in ELF Test
  • Rebekah Brown – Top Five in Parliamentary Procedure
  • David Budzinkski – Top Five in Parliamentary Procedure and Lesson Plan – STEM
  • Jose Cazarez – Top Five in Parliamentary Procedure; Bronze in ELF Test
