moffittFranklin Glen Moffitt was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 9, 1935, the son of Dorothy Odell (Morgan) and Franklin Glen Moffitt. He passed away on December 19, 2015, at age 80.

He was raised by his mother and step-father, Herman Johnson. His sister, Susie, predeceased him.

Frank graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas and The University of Texas, Austin. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas Law School, Austin, on June 3, 1961. Frank married his sweetheart, Jane, September 10, 1955, and they had 60 wonderful years. After a short period in the private sector, Frank joined the Washington D.C. Department of Labor and was a part of President Johnson’s War on Poverty in the 1960’s. He accepted the position of Regional Attorney for the Office of Economic Opportunity Southwest Region. After OEO, Frank returned to private Practice. He became involved in local and national politics and in the Kiest Valley Neighborhood Association. Frank was always trying to help those who needed it the most. He dearly loved his family.

Frank is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Greg Moffitt and wife, Suzanne, and their son, Jake; son, Jeff Moffitt, and his son, Jeffrey, and daughter, Leah; daughter, Melanie Hooper, and her son, Greg; daughter, Amy Martin and husband, Todd, and their son, Alex and daughter, Morgan; his brother, Dan Johnson, and sister, Sherrie Walls.

jaynesMemorial services are 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
