schiefferFrancis H. Schieffer, age 85, was born December 27, 1930, in Springfield, MA, to his parents, Helen and Henry Schieffer. He passed away August 14, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Francis, a veteran of the US Navy, had a passion for leather-working, woodworking and embroidery. He also loved camping and square dancing with the Camping Squares and the Lancaster Do-Si-Do’s. He was an active member of The Ovilla United Methodist Church and The NOMADS Mission Volunteers. Francis was a proud recipient of the Certificate of Appreciation from the US Army and the Community Builder Award given by the Masonic Lodge #461 in Red Oak, TX.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Ann Schieffer; sons, Terry Lynn Wright and his wife, Renee and Tony Lee Wright; granddaughter, Kymberlee Gale Milligan and her husband, Riley; and his beloved Dogs, Buddy and Lucky.

Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel, Duncanville, TX.

jaynesA graveside service will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. *ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE IN LANE “A” AT 9:45 AM, IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE COMMITTAL SERVICE AT THE DALLAS-FT. WORTH NATIONAL CEMETERY.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at The Ovilla United Methodist Church, 1403 Red Oak Creek Rd, Ovilla, TX 75154.
