Francis, a veteran of the US Navy, had a passion for leather-working, woodworking and embroidery. He also loved camping and square dancing with the Camping Squares and the Lancaster Do-Si-Do’s. He was an active member of The Ovilla United Methodist Church and The NOMADS Mission Volunteers. Francis was a proud recipient of the Certificate of Appreciation from the US Army and the Community Builder Award given by the Masonic Lodge #461 in Red Oak, TX.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Ann Schieffer; sons, Terry Lynn Wright and his wife, Renee and Tony Lee Wright; granddaughter, Kymberlee Gale Milligan and her husband, Riley; and his beloved Dogs, Buddy and Lucky.
Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel, Duncanville, TX.
A graveside service will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. *ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE IN LANE “A” AT 9:45 AM, IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE COMMITTAL SERVICE AT THE DALLAS-FT. WORTH NATIONAL CEMETERY.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at The Ovilla United Methodist Church, 1403 Red Oak Creek Rd, Ovilla, TX 75154.
