Elizabeth “Liz” Eans February 23, 1939 – July 24, 2016

eansElizabeth Ann Eans, a long-time resident of Duncanville, Texas, died Sunday the 24th of July, 2016 at Charlton Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.

Elizabeth was born on February 23, 1939 in Red River County to Clarence and Bonnie (Smith) Alsup. On October 10, 1959, she was married to the love of her life, John Eans. Liz loved good food, socializing, collecting Barbies, and owls, and she loved to watch her Dallas Cowboys. Liz had a smile that could light up a room. She was loved by everyone who met her.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, John Eans, two brothers, Sam and Jimmy Alsup, and two sisters, Nita Pierce and Rebecca Stewart.

She is survived by her daughter and son- in-law, Michelle and Billy Williams of Hillsboro; her son, Mark Eans of Duncanville; her granddaughters, Tasha and husband John Bell, and Brittany and husband Chad Cockerham, all of Hillsboro; her grandson, Jonathan Cody Eans of Duncanville; two great-granddaughters, Laney Bell and Chainey Cockerham of Hillsboro; a great-grandson, Blane Bell of Hillsboro; a brother, Bob Alsup and wife Linda of Coushatta, LA; and numerous other family and friends.

jaynesFuneral services are 11:30 am, Friday, July 28, 2016, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.

Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 am, on Thursday, July 28, 21016, at Jaynes.

Burial will follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville.
