Duncanville Summer Concert Series and Fourth of July Festival

The lineup for the City of Duncanville Summer Concert Series has been set.

The concerts will be on the Poe-Hobden Amphitheatre stage in Armstrong Park. Concerts start at 7:30PM. Bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets and enjoy an evening under the stars with some of the best music in the Metroplex.

On June 14 will be Shades of Gray playing good old rock and roll. Shades of Gray has played the Summer Concert Series for several years and they are always one of the popular bands. Shades of Gray plays area restaurants, businesses, and festivals.

On June 21 the band Me and My Monkey, a Beatles cover band, takes the stage. The quartet is a great band, and they happen to have an uncanny resemblance to the original band. Besides playing various festivals, they received outstanding reviews for shows they did in Great Britain.

DuVal & Ave Maria, a 70’s influenced band, takes the amphitheatre stage on June 28.

For the Fourth of July Stars and Stripes Festival, Professor D will be bringing their style of funk, rock and R & B, to the Poe-Hobden stage.

Professor D will take the stage at 7:30PM with fireworks starting at dusk. From 4pm to 10pm the City of Duncanville will have water slides, inflatables, and food vendors in the park area.

Professor D is truly the most electric and hottest party/dance/variety band in the marketplace right now. Led by two incredible and charismatic lead vocalists PLUS the V-Posse Horns, this is not just a cover band… it’s a SHOW! An exhilirating, personality-filled, audience-participation-heavy, in-your-face, non-stop SHOW! This group built their early reputation on horn-heavy disco and R&B but then – over the last 10 years – added nearly everything to their repertoire from rock, current Top 40 and ’80s favorites to contemporary jazz, standards, motown, and 60s.
