The #1 6A team and the #1 TAAPS team in the state of Texas ran into each other in the second round of the Sandra Meadows Classic and Duncanville rolled over Bishop Lynch 83-50 to advance to the next round and get one step closer to defending their tournament title.
Nine Pantherettes scored in the game, with junior guard Zarielle Green leading the way with 27 points. The only other Duncanville player to reach double digits was junior guard Starr Jacobs with 16 points.
Endyia Rogers, sophomore guard, with 17 points, led Bishop Lynch and Nyah Green scored 10 points for the Lady Friars.
Next up for the Pantherettes is either Scott County from Georgetown, Kentucky or Houston’s Westbury Christian as they meet Thursday morning to determine who will advance. The Pantherettes will face the winner on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Sandra Meadows Arena.
