Duncanville Police Department Announces Civil Service Test for Police Officer

The Civil Service Commission and the City of Duncanville invite all qualified persons to take the examination for Police Officer on February 2, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at the Duncanville High School located at 900 West Camp Wisdom Road.

Duncanville Police PatchTo qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 20 ½ years of age and shall not have reached their 45th birthday
  • Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  • Must have completed 30 college classroom hours from an accredited College or University (U.S. Department of Education accreditation) with a minimum grade of C OR hold a currently active TCLEOSE Peace Officer license OR have 2 years active duty military service with honorable discharge
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license (upon employment) and have a good driving record
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony at any time or a Class B misdemeanor or above in the last 10 years
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must have an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, if applicable
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20
  • Must be able to pass the following: Physical Performance Test, Background Investigation, Oral Boards, Physical Examination by Physician, Polygraph and Psychological Tests

Request for Test Notification Forms MUST be on file with the Police Personnel Office no later than 3:00 p.m. on January 25, 2013.
