Duncanville JV Defeats North Crowley

North Crowley forfeited the JV 2 game so our JV Red team played with the JV Blue team.

The game started pretty rough with a 15 yard loss on a Reverse play gone wrong. Then a false start penalty back up the Offense further. Duncanville ended up punting from our their own 5 yard line which set up North Crowley on the 40 yard line for their first possesion on offense.

The Duncanville Defense was apparently still asleep from the 1 hour and 15 minute bus ride due to traffic on I-20. North Crowley scored in 7 plays, during this drive North Crowley converted a 3rd and 5 and a 4th and 9 to set up their only score of the game.

The Duncanville offense then came alive and scored on a Great Catch and Pitch by D’Juan Smith to Derrell Haynes from 60 yards out.

The Duncanville Defense decided to show up as well after this score and kept the North Crowley offense at bay the rest of the night. The defense was led by DeIris Madison with an intercetion returned to the 25 yard line and a fumble recovery by Jalin Simms.

With under 20 seconds left in the first half Duncaville scored again this time from 70 yards away on the same “Hitch and Pitch” to the other side of the field – this time it was Kendrick Romas on the Hitch and Derrel Haynes once again comeing around for the pitch who then out ran the entire North Crowley secondary to score. The big lead at half time allowed the JV Red team to be able to play a couple of series in the second half to end the game. Final score was 32-8 Duncanville, bringing the Blue teams record to 1-1-1, and the JV Red teams record to 2-1.
