Immunization Requirements
Is your child ready for the new school year with up-to-date immunizations? Find a list of immunization requirements from the Texas Department of State Health Services HERE. Immunizations are an important part of protecting your child’s health, and state law requires students in Texas schools to be immunized against certain vaccine-preventable diseases.

We encourage you to get the required vaccines at the earliest possible time to avoid the back-to-school immunization rush at area clinics. Click here for a list of area Dallas County Health and Human Services clinics that provide free or reduced-cost immunization shots for uninsured children.

Please remember that students without the proper documentation for required vaccinations or a valid exemption will not be allowed to attend school. Also remember that all immunization records must be signed by a doctor, public health clinic, or World Health Organization.
