New Hardin Principal Hire

Melanie Lewis joins the Duncanville ISD family as the new principal at Hardin Intermediate School.

She was most recently an associate principal at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, but began her school career as an elementary school custodian. In between, Mrs. Lewis also served as a Spanish teacher, Title I facilitator, ninth grade academic dean and athletic director.

Her unconventional path to school leadership serves as an example to her students, families and teachers to follow their dreams as she did.

Mr. Hamrick has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Warrant National University
