Duncanville ISD – Clint Harper joined the Duncanville ISD family this week as the district’s new athletic director.
“I am very excited to be in the City of Champions,” Mr. Harper told the Board of Trustees at Monday’s regular meeting. “I cannot tell you the pride and honor I feel standing here in front of you.”
Mr. Harper comes to the district from Marshall ISD, where he was the athletic director and head football coach. Prior to that, he was in Leander ISD as a head football coach and campus coordinator. While at Leander he was named the district 16-6A Coach of the Year and the CenTex Coach of the Year following his first season as head coach in 2011.
Mr. Harper earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 1998.
At the close of the board meeting, Mr. Harper shared his personal experience seeing Duncanville teams competing at a high level and winning championship over the years.
“I saw how great the program was in Duncanville, where you are building champions. That’s something I’m very passionate about…not just on the court and the football field, but we are going to build champions for life.”
Mr. Harper is scheduled to start his new job on February 27.
