The band performed in the preliminaries on Tuesday afternoon and judges placed them in 16th place and out of the group of 12 to advance to Wednesday’s finals.

The band performed their show “Postcards from Paris” which included a formation representing the Eiffel Tower and included bicycles, giant postcards, a bridge, and giant French flags.

The DHS Band has been the only band in Texas’ largest division to advance to the State Marching Band Contest each year since 1988 and is the largest group to ever win a Texas State Marching Championship.

Be sure and see the marching band this Friday at halftime of the Duncanville-Killeen Harker Heights playoff game at Panther Stadium on the DHS campus.
