Dr. Robert Lee Nunneley – November 10, 1933 – November 16, 2015

nunneleyDr. Robert L. Nunneley passed away at Treemont Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, November 16, 2015, a week after his 82nd birthday.

Dr. Nunneley was the second son born to parents, Wilbur “Sam” and Lessye Lee “Pat” Nunneley.

After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force where he later was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 21. After Robert left the Air Force, he entered college at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where he also met his wife, Harriet Bliss. They were joined in marriage on February 29, 1957.

After receiving his Doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University, he interned at a hospital in Tulsa, OK. Later he would open his own practice in DeSoto, TX where he served his community for thirty-five years, from 1963 to 1998.

He is survived by his loving wife, Harriet; his two daughters, Teri and Nanci; three brothers, Ron Nunneley of Tulsa, OK and Dave Nunneley and Ray Nunneley of nearby Broken Arrow, OK.
