2125491_300x300Donald “Paul” Winterbauer, 78, passed away on March 2, 2013 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas due to complications from a heart attack. Paul was born in Dallas, TX on October 15, 1934 to Edward L. and Mahala MouserWinterbauer. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward L. Winterbauer, Jr. and sister Eunice Winterbauer Trego.

clayton_logoHe is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Wages Winterbauer of Cedar Hill, TX. He is also survived by three daughters; Denise Chinske, Paula Holland and husband Tracey, Jennifer Mayo and husband Duaine, son Rick Moore and wife Dovie, two nephews, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Paul grew up in Dallas and attended North Dallas High School. He then served in the United States Air Force in California and Alaska during the Korean War. Paul also served as a police officer for the City of Dallas from 1956 until and injury forced him to retire in 1978. After his retirement he loved to catch just about any kind of fish and also loved to buy old homes, refurbish them and sell them at a profit. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tri-City Animal Shelter.
