Donald grew up in Oklahoma and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked at Oilwell Supply after moving to the Dallas area. He also worked as a security guard in his later years. His greatest hobby was playing the lottery with his best buddy, Chas Bloomquist, in Wisconsin.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Galloway; brother, Fred DeWitt; and sister, Glenda Hoke.
He is survived by his wife, Annette DeWitt; 2 sons, Donnie & wife Joy and Kevin DeWitt; 2 step-sons, Mike & wife Annette Knisley and Tony Knisley; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mona Wright & husband Kermit; sister-in-law, Carolee DeWitt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
