Surveying Students

A group of Duncanville HS students who are passionate about one of their classes are taking time after school to tutor their peers!  Junior Jessica Escobar meets with a handful of fellow surveying students once a week in Engineering Academy instructor Bart Burnett’s room at Duncanville High School.  Jessica was recently featured in the Friday Informer for completing her Level I certification as a surveying technician.  Read more about that professional achievement here:

Escobar says she wants to help her fellow students achieve this same certification by the end of the 2012-2013 school year.  She’s even created a website with tutorial information they can use as they study together: clickhere for the website.

She and her classmates are looking forward to attending the Skills USA Conference at Texas State Technical College in Waco on Friday, November 2.
