dianna_coatsDianna Mae Coats, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and Granna, was promoted to glory on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015. Dianna was born on September 24, 1953 in Fort Worth and grew up in North Texas.

Dianna graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas in 1972. Afterwards, she attended Texas Wesleyan University and Baylor College of Dentistry where she received a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She began her career as a dental hygienist in 1976 and passionately cared for patients for over 38 years.

Dianna married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Jerry Coats, in 1976 in Dallas. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Duncanville. An avid birdwatcher and nature lover, she enjoyed spending time with Jerry, her children and loving her grandchildren.

Dianna is survived by her husband, Jerry Coats of Duncanville; daughter, Kathleen Cervenka and husband Jonathan of Duncanville; daughter Elaine Powell and husband Jonathan of Dallas; grandchildren, Haleigh Powell, Jillian Cervenka and Oliver Cervenka; sister Cindy Wyatt and husband Joe of Lakeside, TX; parents, Rev. Jimmie and Mary Frances Mobley of Richardson, TX; parents by marriage, LCDR Lloyd and Geraldine Coats of Cedar Hill, TX; and many loved, extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the National Audubon Society or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

jaynesVisitation with the family will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel with funeral services at 10 am, Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Duncanville.
