DHS Varsity Football Opens District 7-5A on the Road Tonight

The Duncanville varsity football team opens district 7-5A on the road tonight against Midlothian. Game time is 7PM at the Midlothian Multi-Purpose Stadium.

Duncanville comes into tonight’s game with a 1-2 record after losses to Colleyville Heritage (currently ranked 12 in Texas 5A according to MaxPreps) and Abilene (currently ranked 8 in Texas 5A according to MaxPreps). In those first two games, Duncanville averaged only 161.5 yards of total offense in each game.

Last week Duncanville’s offense got on track and gathered 386 yards of total offense, with quarterback Aaron Piper accounting for 130 yards rushing and 96 yards passing, and the Panthers putting 36 points on the scoreboard.

Duncanville utilizes the rushing tandem of Senior Jaquan Cole and Junior William Jackson. Cole is averaging 3.34 yards per carry and Jackson 4.33.

Midlothian comes in averaging over 378 yards per game, and is 3-0 in non-district play.

Midlothian has victories over Waxahachie (42-7), Timber Creek (42-34), and Northwest (21-9).

Quarterback Bryce Fausett leads the Midlothian Panthers and has over 254 yards passing, and 258 yards rushing with 5 touchdowns. Running back Justin Seeton is averaging 12.86 yards per carry, with 450 total yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
