DHS Girls Basketball
Varsity Girl’s defeated Desoto 63 – 51
Varsity Girl’s defeated Skyline 74 – 43
Girl’s JV lost to Desoto 54 – 38
Girl’s JV defeated Skyline 71 – 33
Girl’s 9th Red lost to Desoto 57 – 39
Girl’s 9th Blue defeated Desoto 46 – 28

DHS Cross Country
Congratulations to Anna Salazar for being the first Duncanville athlete to compete in 4 straight Regional Cross Country meets. Anna finished the 2 mile course in Lubbock in 12:38. She has represented Duncanville with distinction and the coaches thank her for her efforts.

DHS Swimming
The swim team defeated Grapevine Colleyville, Colleyville Heritage, Fort Worth Nolan, and Ft Worth Haltom in a double dual meet held Tuesday, Nov 8 at the Duncanville pool. Outstanding swim times as well as personal bests were posted by most of the team members. leading the team to victory were Catherine Bartosh-1st in 200 Free and 500 Free…Maddy Samples-1st in 100 Free and 100 Backstroke….Both 400 Free relay teams of Aileen Aldama, Marisa Patlan, Grecia Caro, and Brook Donaghey… John Mooney, Kevin Quintero, Jordan Brandon, and Paul Johnson also finished 1st.

DHS Tennis
Congratulations to the following tennis players for their all-district selections. 1st team all-district in singles were Cedric Ambulo, Weston Hill, Michael Junior, Eric Shimomura, Austin Gula, Gavin Beach, and Jocelle Rudico. Daejia Lynch made 2nd team all-district in singles. 1st team all-district in doubles were Cedric Ambulo, Weston Hill, Gavin Beach, Michael Junior, Jocelle Rudico, and Selena Facundo. Austin Gula and Eric Shimomura made 2nd team in doubles. Kris Vasquez and Daejia Lynch were honorable mention in Mixed Doubles as well. MVP for the district were Cedric Ambulo and Jocelle Rudico. Freshmen for the district were Austin Gula and Gavin Beach.

Duncanville coach Trent Sellers was also named District Coach of the Year.
