Congratulations to Duncanville High School’s Journalism Department – the school’s Panther Prints online newspaper won a Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) in New York!

It was one of only 13 publications across the US to receive this national award.

CSPA is one of the premier journalism associations in the country, seeing more than 500 entries in their Silver Crown contest.

“We are honored that the judges selected Duncanville’s Panther Prints as one of the best online publications,” said advisor James Rich.

Panther Prints and Panther Prints online were also selected as All-Southern publications in a Southern Interscholastic League Press Association (SILPA) contest. This ranks them among the ten most elite publications in the southern US.

Congratulations are also in order for DHS students Allie Peregory who won Second Place for editorial writing and Tijhan Anderson who won First Place in review writing from SILPA.
