DHS Coaches Profile – AJ Uland Varsity Assistant Football Coach

Coach A.J. Uland is serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line coach at DHS. In December of 2010, he was named the Offensive Coordinator for the National Under-Classmen All-Star game in Charlotte, NC.  Also in 2010, he was named the E5 coach of the week for Chevrolets Inside High School Sports. Before coming to Duncanville in 2009, he served as the Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Harker Heights for 2 years. From 1995 to 2007, he served McKinney HS and ended his time there as Defensive Coordinator and Director of Football Equipment.  In 2005, Coach Uland was named the Defensive Coordinator for the Texas Oil Bowl. He spent 1 year in the Mesquite ISD.  He worked at Thomas Jefferson High School in the Dallas ISD were they won a State & National Powerlifting Championship.

He worked with the Zig Ziglar Corporation for five years before entering the teaching and coaching profession. He has been married for 25 years to his high school sweetheart, Cristi. The couple has four children, Grant, 21, Joshua, 19, Amanda, 17, and Jonathan, 13.
