Varsity Volleyball
The Duncanville HS varsity volleyball team defeated the Timberview Wolves on Tuesday, October 9.  Head Volleyball Coach Bryan Stanfield asks Panther fans to help his players score another victory in their home game scheduled for Friday, October 12.

“The Panther Volleyball team played a tough close match against the Timberview Wolves. After being down two sets, the Panthers were able to rally and finish with a win of 17-15 points in the final set, sealing their win of the match. Come support the Panthers this Friday (October 12) as they take on the Grand Prairie Gophers. The matches start at 6:00 pm.  Hope to see you there.”  – Coach Stanfield

Varsity Tennis
Congratulations to the Duncanville HS varsity tennis team on their 16-3 win on Tuesday, October 9 over Midlothian.  This completes their regular season with a district record of 6-1 and 16-5 overall.  Two girls team members finished their district seasons undefeated, and the boys team went undefeated for all ten district matches this year.  The Panthers will host DeSoto in a district playoff match on Friday, October 12 at 3:30 pm.

DHS Golf
The Duncanville HS girls golf team learned a lot in their first outing of the season at the Martin Invitational Tournament at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Fort Worth on Wednesday, October 10.  Although the team finished in last place, the experience was a valuable opportunity to focus on player development.  The next chance to watch the varsity golf team compete is Thursday, October 18 in the Lake Ridge Invitational at Mansfield National Golf Course.

DHS Swim Team
Duncanville HS swimmers have kicked off the season with a victory!  The Panthers hosted the Duncanville Invitational on Saturday, October 6.  The DHS women’s team placed first out of 18 high school teams.  The event drew a total of 524 metroplex student athletes to the Duncanville ISD Natatorium.  Wish Duncanville ISD swimmers luck as they prepare for the Arlington ISD Invitational in Mansfield on Saturday, October 13.

Cross Country Update
Good luck to the DHS cross country team as they prepare to compete in the Buffalo Stampede in Haltom City on Saturday, October 13.  They represented Duncanville ISD well at the Ken Gaston Invitational Meet in Grand Prairie on Thursday, October 4.  The varsity boys placed third out of 23 competing high schools, and the varsity girls placed ninth.  Congratulations!
