DBU to Host Heartland Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament

The Heartland Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament is set for play. The tournament will be held November 3 – 5 on the campus of Dallas Baptist University. The DBU Lady Patriots earned the right to host the tournament after they won the regular season Heartland Conference championship.

St. Edward’s, who is the defending champ, will be the number two seed, while St. Mary’s and Texas-Permian Basin will be the number three and four seeds. The winner of the tournament will earn the automatic qualifier into the NCAA Regional Tournament.

DBU finished up their regular season with a 13-4-1 overall record and 9-1 in conference play. St. Edward’s comes into the tournament 13-2-1 and 8-1-1, while St. Mary’s finished up 8-7-2 and 5-5. UTPB, who earned their spot in the tournament on the final day of the regular season, has a record of 4-12-1 overall and 3-6-1 in conference play.

Game 2: Thursday, November 3 – 7:00 – #1 Dallas Baptist vs #4 Texas-Permian Basin

Championship: Saturday, November 5 – 1:00 – Winner G1 vs Winner G2
