On Friday in Abilene, Natalie Gennissen continued her fantastic career with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Lauren Renner. Leah Rutt had to gut out a 7-6, 6-3 win in her match in the two spot while Katie DaughertyAmanda Richter, and Leah Smith all cruised in the first set before grinding out a win in the second. Gennissen and Daugherty took a rare loss in the doubles portion but the combo of Rutt and RIchter were able to pick up a point for DBU with an 8-5 win.

Saturday saw much of the same for DBU with clean sweep of singles points over Hardin-Simmons, including a 5-7, 6-2, 10-2 win for Alexa Mentesana for the final tally while Gennissen and Daugherty rebounded for an 8-0 win in doubles play. Rutt and Smith also picked up another doubles point for the Lady Patriots.

DBU will look to continue their winning ways on February 8 in Dallas before the quick road trip on Saturday to East Texas.
