Dallas Baptist University, along with the Department of Athletics and the Patriot Baseball Team, are set to host the 21st Annual Patriot Baseball Banquet on Friday, February 8, at 6:30 pm in the John G. Mahler Student Center. At this year’s banquet, the university will be honoring Mr. Andy Horner with the 2013 Patriot Legends Award for his commitment to glorify God, his faithfulness to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and his legacy of servant leadership. The Patriots will open the 2013 season in a new “Home for Champions for Christ” as they host Creighton University on February 15 at Joan and Andy Horner Ballpark.

The featured keynote speaker for the 2013 banquet will be former collegiate standout and major league pitcher, Pat Combs. Combs spent eight years in professional baseball while playing for the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers. During his solid collegiate career, Pat was named All-American and represented the USA National Team in 1987 and 1988, helping Team USA to a gold medal in the Seoul Olympics.

This annual celebration is an opportunity for fans and supporters of Dallas Baptist Patriot Baseball to aid the DBU Baseball program and the mission of Christ-centered college athletics and discipleship of student-athletes. Five levels of banquet table sponsorship are available.
