The Patriots and Lions battled neck and neck throughout the first half as each team earned their way to the charity stripe merely 15 times.  Freshman Wesley Gipson provided the Patriots with ten points in the first half as the game was separated by one bucket to start the second half.

The Patriots came out firing as Senior Armie Lewis drained a three-point shot nearly 20 seconds in to the second half of play, giving the Patriots a one shot lead.  However, it was the Lions of Arkansas Ft. Smith that outmatched the Patriots in an uneven battle on the boards in route to victory.

With the loss, the Patriots fall to 5-7 in Heartland Conference play and 14-12 on the season.  The Patriots will be back in action on Saturday, February 25, in Goodwell, Oklahoma, as they take on Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
