DBU Men’s Golf Finishes as Runner-Up at NCCAA Tournament

For the third time in the last four years, the DBU Men’s Golf Team has finished as runner-up at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament. The only time the Patriots did not finish second was in 2009 when they finished first.

Brandon Johnson once again led the way for the Patriots as he returned to form with a 73 (+1) for the final round. Johnson finished the tournament tied for fourth. Mason Horner shot 75 (+3) for the day while Jamie Youree andCharles Gibson both turned in rounds of 76 (+4). Austin Struble shot 78 (+6) for the day to give the Patriots an even 300 for the round and a 901 for the tournament. California Baptist held on the win the team championship with an 887.

The Patriots will wrap up their fall season on October 31 and November 1 as they travel to The Colony to play Tribute Golf Club as part of a tournament hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce.
