For the first time in the Michelle Lenard era, the Dallas Baptist Lady Patriot Soccer Team is ranked in the Top 25 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. As the world’s largest single sports coaching association, the NSCAA releases its rankings weekly and this week’s poll sees DBU Soccer at #25. DBU is also ranked #3 in the South Central Region, one spot behind Central Missouri – whom they defeated 1-0 back on September 8.
“Being ranked is a testament to the hard work these ladies have put in so far this season,” said Lenard, “but we are not going to be lulled into thinking the season is over. We have a long way to go and more work to do to achieve our goals. Our goal now stays the same as it was last week – we want to win our next game.”
The Lady Patriots will have a chance to defend their Top 25 ranking on September 29 as they travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to face Central Oklahoma at 4:00 pm.
