This past Saturday, February 11, 2012, the DBU Cheerleaders sacrificed weekend sleep to help cheer on participants of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Walk-A-Thon at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.  The Team opened by leading the morning rally with MDA cheers such as, “Make a Muscle, Make a Difference.”  The crowd was pumped up and ready to walk around Cowboys Stadium.

Participants came in groups and teams from all over North Texas to support the cause of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  The Dallas MDA Walk-A-Thon is the largest MDA walk in the country, and the DBU Cheerleaders were able to cheer the crowd on past the finish line!

Sophomore Cheerleader, Stevie Shirley, shares how she was impacted by serving with MDA, “I really loved the joy that I saw coming from people, even in such a time of trial.  It shows how true God’s love and peace is for us.”
