Duncanville ISD – The Duncanville High School Band and High Hats are hosting the 23rd Annual Duncanville Marching Invitational on Saturday, October 22. The contest draws more than 10,000 students and other visitors. The campus will need to accommodate approximately 120 buses and trucks. As a result, residents and those who are planning to attend the competition should note the following closures:

The DHS campus will be closed from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. to all vehicles not attending the DMI. All parking lots and streets will be blocked late Friday evening, October 21, by the City of Duncanville in preparation. Specific street closings will include all of Middale Road, Greenstone Lane and Victory Lane. Additionally, the south lane of Camp Wisdom and west lane of Cedar Ridge will be closed.

The DHS Band and High Hats will perform their 2016 production “Post Cards From Paris” in exhibition Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Parking and seating will be very limited. You will need to arrive at least 30-45 minutes in advance to have an opportunity to view the performance. Those with DHS staff ID badges may enter free of charge. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 and senior citizens.
