The City of Duncanville is hosting a town hall meeting where Duncanville City Manager and Finance Director will explain the City’s budget process.
The meeting will be held Thursday, March 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the D.L. Hopkins Senior Center located at 206 James Collins Boulevard. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive activity to present their opinions on priorities for the FY 2018 budget.
An important element of the City’s communication plan has been the implementation of a series of town hall meetings geared to engage, inform, and educate citizens on topics of interest affecting our community.
The Town Hall meetings focus on topics such as the City’s water rates, smoking ordinance, and budget. There is also an open-topic session, which allows attendees an opportunity to address Council and Staff.
It is the Council’s desire to continue these meetings indefinitely, providing an additional forum for dialogue in the community.
