City of Duncanville Welcomes New Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works

City of Duncanville – The Mayor, City Council and City Manager welcome the new Assistant City Manager, Paul Frederiksen, and the new Director of Public Works, Bryan ‘Greg’ Ramey, who started on Monday, July 31.

“We are excited to have Paul and Greg join our team with the City,” City Manager Kevin Hugman said. “I know their experience, leadership and commitment to service will greatly benefit the organization and the citizens of Duncanville.”

Paul Frederiksen

Assistant City Manager Frederiksen was selected from more than 80 applicants. In his most recent position, he served as the Town Manager for the town of Argyle, Texas, and was in that position since 2014. Previously, he served as Vice President of the Las Colinas Association for eight years, Assistant City Manager for Colleyville, Texas, for two years, and City Administrator for Shenandoah, Texas, for seven years. He began his public sector career as a Planning Technician for the city of Dallas. Frederiksen holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration, as well as a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning.

Bryan ‘Greg’ Ramey

Greg Ramey recently completed an assignment as the Director of Public Works for Camp Arifjan in Kuwait with the US Army and was released from active duty last month. In addition to his recent experience, he has experience as a resident engineer and engineer officer with the Army at various military bases. His civilian career includes several years of project management experience as director of construction with a private company, and as an installation program manager with US Customs & Border Protection, handling contract management, facility construction, and major and minor repair projects. He has a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He is licensed as a Professional Civil Engineer.
