City of Duncanville to host LEGO® themed Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

In celebration of the Christmas Holiday, the City of Duncanville is hosting the annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2nd. Free shuttle service will be available starting at 5 p.m. and after the event at Costco, located at 250 E. Hwy. 67.

2016-lego-christmas-1-e1477080212411The LEGO® themed parade will take place down Main Street starting at 7 p.m. The parade route will extend from Freeman to Wheatland, Wheatland to Main and dis-embarking on Main at Carder. Various road closures will affect the Wheatland & Main Street area beginning at 6 p.m. To participate in the parade, please register at the Duncanville Recreation Center, located at 201 James Collins Blvd.

Following the parade, the free Stars Tree Lighting & Concert begins at 8 p.m. on Main Street in front of the Duncanville Feed Store featuring music by Duncanville ISD’s Elementary Choirs. Family activities, including Pictures with Santa, will also be available free to the public at the Ben Franklin Apothecary from 8-10 p.m. To become a vendor for this event, please register with the Duncanville Parks & Recreation Department at the Recreation Center.
