Buried deep within the agenda at the last council meeting was the resignation of City Manager Kent Cagle.

On October 20, the Leander, Texas City Council voted unanimously to hire Cagle after interviewing five finalists.

Cagle had a forty-five day notice clause in his contract and was due to start in Leander on December 1st.  On Tuesday night the Duncanville City Council voted to make Cagle’s resignation effective on November 18, 2011.

The council also took action to name Assistant City Manager Jeanne Fralicks as the Interim City Manager as they issue RFQ’s for a search firm and search for Cagle’s replacement.
