fisherMemorial Services for Charles Russell Fisher will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel, 811 So. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, Texas. Charles left his earthly body to meet his Savior on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in Desoto, TX.

Charles Fisher was born on April 12, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Charles and Kathleen (Walker) Fisher. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Russell Fisher Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Fisher; one sister, Shirley Dollison and husband, Larence, of Ferris; half brothers, Wayne Hector and Woody Fisher; one daughter, Tuesdae Hubbard of Richardson; two step-sons, Dan Foster and wife, Kim of Dallas, and Rickey Foster of Desoto; one niece, Becky Manhard of Ferris; and one nephew, Jerry Don Ivey.

Charles was lovingly known as “Charlie or Papa” to four grandchildren, Austin, True, Dylan and London; four step-grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Danielle and Nick; In addition, he was blessed with four step-great grandchildren.

Charles enjoyed working at Uncle Dan’s Pawn as the eBay Manager, watching movies, and playing cards. He enjoyed playing cards so much that he moved to Las Vegas where he lived and worked as a poker dealer for 12 years. He once entered the World Series Employee Poker Event at The Rio and won 2nd place. He eventually moved back to Dallas where he lived the past several years.

jaynesThe viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. along with the memorial tribute to celebrate this great man’s life following the next day.
