Charles Henry Miller was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 14, 1921, the son of Hortense Erin (Tucker) and David McClellan Miller.  He passed away on November 26, 2012, at age 91.

He followed his beloved wife, Alma, by 22 days. They had been married 69 years after meeting at Southwest Cigar Company and dating for six months. They were blessed with two children, Doug and Carolyn, and made their home in Oak Cliff for 65 years. Alma and Charles were active members in Elmwood Baptist Church, Kiestwood Baptist, and currently in Cliff Temple Baptist. Charles retired from the Postal Service after 33 years and maintained many friendships from that career.

He is survived by his son, Doug Miller and wife, Jan; daughter, Carolyn Kindel and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Melissa, Julie, Christopher, David, Allison, Sara, Christine, Ken, and Bob; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11:00 am, Thursday, November 29, 2012, in Basset Chapel at Cliff Temple Baptist, 125 Sunset Avenue in Dallas.

Visitation with the family begins at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Van Alstyne Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital.
