Our dear mother, grandmother and friend lived 82 years and was loved by all. She was born on May 14, 1930, to Roy Lee Cook and Alice Scritchfield Cook in Bullard, Texas. She passed into her new life on August 26, 2012.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ray Junior Hyatt and her son, Michael Ray Hyatt, her parents, Roy and Alice, her brothers Pete and Jack, and her sister and best friend, Mary Evelyn Grier. She is survived by 3 daughters and 1 son, Sondra King of Waxahachie, Texas, Debra Browning and husband, Ted of Highland Village, Texas, Teresa Withrow and husband, Lynn of Garland, Texas and Gary Hyatt and wife Rebeka of Midlothian, Texas. She had 13 grandchildren (Stacy, Troy, Kim, Amy, Jennifer, Heather, Kelsey, Greg, Justin, Leslie, Brandon, Brady & Karri), 12 great grandchildren and one brother, Larry Cook.

Betty retired from the United States Postal Service in 1990.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
