Betty Baley – December 25, 1945/February 20, 2013

baley_1361486893Betty Wheat Baley, age 67, was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on December 25, 1945.  She went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2013, at her home in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Betty was preceded in death by her only son, John Andrew (Andy) Baley, and her parents John T. and Francis Robinson Wheat.

She is survived by her very loving husband of 47 years, Ernest Baley of Cedar Hill, Texas, and her brother, Dr. John T. Wheat Jr, and his wife, Terrie, of North Richland Hills, Texas. Other survivors include one nephew, Curtis Wheat, of Saginaw, Texas, one niece, Tiffany Pritchett, of Haltom City, Texas, an uncle, Milas Robinson, of Sulphur Springs, an aunt, Della Loone, of Sulphur Springs, and numerous cousins.

jaynesBetty graduated from Garland High School in 1963. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years and had worked at home for the past 20 plus years keeping books for her husband’s business, Have Tractor Will Mow.  Betty was a wonderful, loving, and devoted wife and mother.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill.  For many years she was known as the Candy Lady by the teachers at Bray Elementary and at Cedar Hill High School.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, on Sunday March 3, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 602 W. Beltline Road in Cedar Hill, Texas.
