Bass Fishing Team Selected to Represent the State of Texas in B.A.S.S. Elite TX vs. LA Shootout

The Patriot Bass Fishing Team accepted an invitation to represent Texas state colleges and universities in the 2012 Texas – Louisiana Shootout as apart of the Toledo Bend B.A.S.S. Elite Series Championship.  As one of the select Texas schools, the Dallas Baptist University Patriot Bass Fishing Team along with eight other Texas schools will face off against five universities from the state of Louisiana on the Red River on June 10.

All competing Texas and Louisiana teams will launch out of Natchitoches, Louisiana, on the Red River at Eagle Core Landing Park and then will trailer to Many, Louisiana, to weigh-in on the B.A.S.S. Elite Stage on Lake Toledo Bend.  All competing collegiate teams will get to walk across the same stage and weigh their tournament fish with the Elite B.A.S.S. professional anglers as the entire program is nationally televised on ESPN2.

“We are honored to represent the state of Texas and collegiate bass fishing in this one-of-a-kind tournament and opportunity,” shared Patriot Bass Team Special Advisor and Coach Scott Darragh.  “What a great experience for our guys to represent Texas schools and weigh-in with the Elites on the B.A.S.S. stage,” added Darragh.
