Tails will be wagging at the 2nd Annual Best Southwest Cities Bark for Life on Saturday, April 28th at Armstrong Park in Duncanville, TX. Armstrong Park is located at 315 E. Wheatland Rd in Duncanville, TX. Those interested in participating can register online at www.relayforlife.org/barkbswcitiestx

This fun-filled half-day event will include a 1.6 mile walk, canine games and activities, entertainment, interactive education, low-cost micro-chipping and fun for both canine companions and their caregivers! On-site registration and check-in will begin at 8am with the Opening Ceremony beginning at 9am with the 1.6 mile walk following immediately after.  Sponsors and vendors will also be present providing information, flyers and products to participants. Canine companions represent unconditional love, joy, security, compassion and no judgments of human abilities or appearances. The American Cancer Society Bark for Life is incredible ways to “take a bite out of cancer,” smile and make new friends – both canine and human. All proceeds from the 2nd Annual Best Southwest Cities Bark for Life benefit American Cancer Society services in the community.

The American Cancer Society Bark for Life mini-relay is a unique opportunity to honor the caregiving qualities of our canine “best friends.” This family event is designed to not only highlight the beloved canine companions who give their special support to those affected by cancer but also encourages responsible dog ownership and training. Canine caregivers are canine companions, guide dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs, therapy dogs, police dogs, cancer survivor dogs and diagnostic dogs who with their owners are joining the American Cancer Society as relay participants to celebrate cancer survivorship, to honor those lost to cancer, to fundraise in support of cancer research, education, awareness,
