stephensAudrey Stephens was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 14, 1929, to William and Julia Van Luik, the first born of three daughters.

Audrey grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri, where she attended school, after which she met the love of her life, Jack, on a blind date.

Audrey and Jack had three children before moving to California in 1955. Thomas was born soon after, and her beloved family was completed. In 1971 the family moved to Texas due to a work transfer. Audrey was totally committed to her family and all her activities revolved around making every moment a memorable one. Her model was to build memories which she was successful at doing through camping, beach going, the lake-house, skiing, traveling, bridge playing and even feeding the ducks at the park with the grandkids. She was actively involved with volunteer work in her church and the Duncanville police department. For many years she assisted Jack in the family print business which continues to this day.

Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, John F. “Jack” Stephens in 2014, her father and mother, and younger sister, Nancy. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Willeyne Berger (Bob); children, Susan (Kent), Marty (Pam), Peggy, and Thomas (Charlene); 11 precious grandchildren, Garrett, Clint, Dusty, Crystal, Jeremy, Amber, Audra, Lauren, Matthew, Travis, and Heather; and 16 great-grandchildren, Kayli, Marshal, Jade, Keegan, Madison, Ava, Jet, Brody, Evelyn, Jackson, Haiden, Gavin, Isaac, Easton, Colton, and Avery. Audrey leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable memories and unquenchable laughter that has left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

jaynesFuneral services are 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Faith Bible Church, 1437 W. Pleasant Run Road, Desoto, Texas, 75115. Visitation with the family begins at 9:30 am.

Burial will follow at 1:00 pm, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
